WILC School Closure
Effective End of School Day Friday, March 20, 2020
Dear WILC Autism Supporters,
In order to be compliant with Coronavirus COVID-19 State of Wisconsin and US Federal mandates and or recommendations regarding various businesses and school closures, the Wisconsin Independent Learning College, Inc. Board of Directors discussed and sadly voted unanimously 3/18/20 at 5:00 pm to close WILC effective the end of the regular WILC program day, Friday, March 20 until Monday, April 6 or a later date based on the recommendations of WI Governor Tony Evers and all Federal mandates and health recommendations.
Presently Wisconsin K-12 public and private schools, public colleges/universities, and most private schools, restaurants, taverns/bars, resorts, theaters, gyms, and many nonessential retail businesses have closed. Every hour more information is at hand. We were notified that the WI DVR / Department of Workforce Development also recommended discontinuing any community services that we provide our autistic students for Supported and or Customized Employment services.
